School Leadership Team

About SLT

The School Leadership Team (SLT) is a collaborative team of parents and teachers and the principal that is mandated by state law to play a significant role as an advisory panel in representing the school community. The SLT helps create structures for school-based decision-making, develops school-based educational policies and ensures resources are aligned to implement those policies. The SLT writes and reviews the school’s Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP). Members are elected for two year terms on a staggered basis. Visitors are welcome to all meetings.

PS 452 SLT Mission

The primary role of the School Leadership Team (SLT) at PS 452 is to develop the Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) that is aligned to the school budget.  Additionally, the SLT will collaboratively aid in creating and evaluating the educational programs at PS 452 to best create a school community that is both a nurturing and caring environment that provides students with the skills to develop as learners, thinkers, communicators and citizens.

Observers are welcome to all SLT Meetings. Observers may submit an issue to be included on the agenda via a request by SLT gmail at least 1 week prior to the next meeting. That issue will be addressed during the meeting.

Please note that SLT bylaws state that unless a proposal has been submitted in writing at least 1 week in advance of the meeting all non-SLT members are considered observers and must remain silent during the team meetings. You may contact the SLT at any time at: ps452slt@gmail.com.
